On Reeshi's weight post, someone talked about turning to alcohol, not food.

wow;; I dont really have any bad addictions to cope with life.. unless it could be eating carbs when I get upset or sleep more.

I have a hard time relating to these types of situations because I have always figured out ways to cope in a healthy way so I dont understand the unhealthy ways to cope.

Not that I wouldnt want to try these things but when I drink I get a headache.. When I over eat I get violently ill.. I cant afford drugs and twinkies have too much sugar.....(lol)

Oh; I know.. If I had a lot of money I would most likely shop and shop and shop.... ... that would probably be my addiction of choice; shopping..

I was thinking though if I really had a shopping addiction and had limited funds I would shop at goodwill. I can get a ton of stuff there for very little money.. so that would atleast satisfy my addiction.

My friend has an addiction to sugar .. He buys boxes of sugary sweets that he cant afford. I told him you have an addiction and if he cant afford that then buy a 99 cents box of duncan hines brownie mix and make that. It is cheap and it satisfies your addiction.

Some people are addicted to exercise. I suppose if you are going to have an addiction, it's a good one to have. I definitely do not have that one.

What is yours Marina?

I do not think I'm addicted to anything in particular. I do know that I love being online. I like the ease of interacting with people online, for it does not have to be in real time. iVillage, Facebook are great for that.

I workout daily but am not addicted to that either for I can easily stop and that is my fear so I keep doing that. I do love the feeling of it and the positive effects plus the comfort of not being anal about what I eat is a plus.

Since I just got back from a mid level Star Wars convention, I guess thats mine. I have been in the online community for years and been to the giant and mid level conventions. I used to make my own costumes (not many anymore) and buy toys and got auographs as volunteering compensation. Its kind of interesting interacting with people with your intetests and this weekend I did in person. It was a nice break from real life. The other one is jewelry, I used to sell my stuff, but now I just make jewelry as gifts. Its kind of nice to come up with interesting designs, but I spend alot from time to time in findings, beads and materials.. It keeps my creative juices going since I quit costuming. Ok so I have finally revealed I'm a fangirl : )

Have you ever tried selling any of your jewelry?

I can't believe I outed myself! I have placed the fangirl stuff on the backburner for drumming (so not a bad habit), its still who I am.. I have talked with a friend who had no obsessions/habits and she feot kind of boring compared to me. Wouldn't go that far, but I agree with her assessment that having focused interests is good for a rich life.

I actually have a business license (to sell and charge sales taxes) because I was going to sell in a local market but I couldn't get enough inventory done in time for Christmas fair. I sold at a church fair and to some coworkers. Ha ha, not as much profit as expenses, hence the "bad habit" label, but at least can whip up birthday presents in a flash. :) Of course I have quite a bit of my stuff to wear too! But its really fun to make intereting simple designs wth different materials. I imagine the needoework is quite soothing, no wonder you do it!

I used to have this wacko, crazy, psycho, bizarre neighbor in Malibu and she made handmade jewelry and went to trunk shows and stuff.
