I have been posting on iVillage for a couple of weeks now and I have enjoyed the different characters and personalities I have come across. Very entertaining and informative.
Here's my situation: I have become intrigued by one female member. I have enjoyed her comments both to me and to others. She is clearly an intelligent and thoughtful woman, and she has a charming sense of humor, which frequently brings a smile to my face. We have also exchanged e-mails. Simply stated, I like her attitude. She seems sweet and spunky. I mean that is the best way. :)
Here's my question: How do I proceed? I am concerned I may be projecting on to her. (Not like a movie or slide show; that would be silly. I mean in a pychological sense.)
Here are my proposed options: 1) Play it completely cool and pretend I don't even remember her. 2) Express my desire to learn more about her. 3) Ask for her ring size and hit the stores. 4) Pick-out a china pattern. (Those last two were jokes - everyone relax!)
I suspect there may be one or two options I have not considered. Heck, that is why I am asking. Let me have it ladies; I can take it. (I think!)

Hi there, nice to "see" you on this board! I've been on Ivillage a long time, and I know two couples who are married with a child who met through message boards here! I also know a 3rd couple who met on the online dating board and have just started seeing each other long-distance (the other 2 couples were also long-distance at first).
That said, if the two of you are long-distance, that involves some real, difficult challenges so she may not be up for it even if she does feel a connection.
But why not go for option #2 and see what happens?

Just keep emailing her and push the envelope a little bit - tell her you enjoy your chats with her and then see where it goes from there.
Doooo It!!
Thats all I got. haha! But I've read about other folks that have met on IV so anything is possible.
Good luck,

Several years ago when I first came to iVillage, a guy randomly emailed me about something I had posted.
