I decided today that I can fit a treadmill in my bedroom.

When I wanted a bike I found an exercise bike online that was free shipping and when the guy came from the shipping company he brought it right upstairs and put the box in my room and I just put it right together right in that room it was awesome!

Try doing research on retailers.... Most will offer either 0% financing or free delivery.

Hi, I lurk here quite often. I think I've posted on a thread oh maybe, let's say, once? But I HAVE to post on here. You'll understand.

My best friend and I are both only 5'2" and of average weight. Now, she left her husband and moved back in at her parents house in the basement which meant we had to get carpet for down there. So the two of us and our kids (I have one - yes, single mom here! and she has one) went to Lowes and got the carpet. The 24 foot long carpet. By ourselves (together) we managed to put this carpet on top of an 8 ft mini-van and attach it there. Get it home. Take it off. Move EVERYTHING out of the basement, put the carpet down in the basement, and move everything back in. And OH MY GOD was it hard!! But we did it!!

Hey there.

I bought a treadmill back when I was living by myself.

I had to sand my deck this summer and lifted an upright sander out of my car myself - those suckers are heavy (about 150 pounds or so). Of course, I mashed my finger in the process and I couldn't lift it BACK into my car and had to call my dad for help.

Don't they deliver?

AJ, enjoying life with C.

I've noticed that those of us who live alone seem to think we can do anything ourselves....and perhaps we take that sense of independence too far.

Once treadmills are together they aren't that heavy, not for anything, I had an exercise bike and a treadmill and lived alone on the second floor of an old building, with a very awkwaard staircase, I think if I can manage to move by myself, I think you can with people helping you. It really isn't that difficult. I moved my treadmill and my bike from room to room by myself once they were together, most of them have wheels in the front once they are all put together, but the initial movement when in boxes, yes they are heavy.

When I ordered my bike from Proform, it was delivered by a Penske truck not by UPS and the guy had no problem bringing it upstairs for me.
