where are they hiding???

For many, many years, I have asked friends and acquaintances if they know any single women. Almost every time they responded by saying everyone they know is married or seeing someone. Often they say they have a list of guys, for whom they are trying to find women. So the problem isn't finding the 'right' woman; it is finding any woman.

So I'm wondering if the women out there have plenty of men from which to pick, but can't find a good one. Or do they have the same problem I have - finding any warm bodies?

I agree. I have young parents and my father is only 46 and he doesn't seem old to me in the least. I couldn't date someone that is 40 at this point in my life because I'm only 24. Talk about completely different life experiences. Thats my reason; not because they're about to hit the rocking chair.

But I sure see a lot of older men on the streets of Chicago and I can certainly say "Yummy." Must be the suits...

A good suit goes a long way. I had to have some moles removed last week and I have been using the same plastic surgeon for a decade. When I saw him in his scrubs last week, I thought to myself that he had put on some weight and wasn't looking so good (he was always a cutie). Then he comes in today in this unbelievably attractive suit in a lightweight wool with a navy and light yellow windowpane pattern and matching yellow tie. He looked like a different man!

I love a well cut suit in a quality material. Really. I guess it's my version of Stacy's cowboy hat. :)

Oh, yeah. I love a man in a suit.

Or even a man in a nice pair of slacks and a shirt that's tucked in. Especially around here, a clean cut, well-pressed man is a bit rare - so I always take notice.

Clean shaven is also a huge plus - whoever decided that the five o'clock shadow was sexy is not my favorite person. ;) Or worse, the Grizzly Adams look (take one look at our football team's quarterback to see what I mean - ick: http://photos1.blogger.com/img/54/1194/1024/beard.jpg).

I agree - a man is a suit is my equivalent to Stacey's cowboy. Yum!http://home.rixtele.com/~urdskalla/Skivomslag/Cary_Grant.JPG

Oh I dont know about the five o clock shadow thing. My boyfriend showed up at the train station in December with a fair amount of growth on his face. He's always clean cut but daaaamn...it was surely nice for a change. My new favorite picture of him is with that little shadow.

But Grizzly Adams...yeah he can go back to the woods.

It helps when you're in love with the man. :) My ex showed up with a full grizzly adams beard after I hadn't seen him for two weeks, and it was kind of cute (for a day).

The five o'clock shadow just makes me think of sandpaper and "face burn." Don't want to kiss that!

Of COURSE Cary Grant was a babe - and Bing Crosby wore some amazing suits and was so charming in the early part of his career (through the 1940s maybe). For some reason, I was just so taken with Adrien Brody when he was doing those Zegna ads: http://www.tilneysandtrapdoors.com/brodylicious/album/thumbnails.php?album=2

My, my, my. He has the looks I like, too. Talk, dark, thin, and handsome. Now if only I could look like one of the women he has dated...

I am also intrigued by this. I just turned 25, and have dated men in their 40s. I have also dated men in their 20s. I don't even know if I have a "cut off" age. I guess it would totally depend on the guy and the situation. I have honestly never thought about not dating a guy just because of his age. There's a man in his 50s that I work with that I would definitely date if we didn't work together. He's older than my dad, but since he's cool, we have a lot in common, and he doesn't act like my dad, his age wouldn't be an issue.

Uh huh...Adrien has a certain look about him that is really appealing.

But my favorite suited stud must be Jimmy Stewart...sigh...

SIGH. Do they still make men like that? (Adrien Brody, I agree, is close. I used to think that of Jude Law as well until he proved he was a schmuck and cheated on his fiance).

In relation to age, if a man that looked like Cary Grant (and was half as suave) crossed my path, I wouldn't care how old he was - I'd fall all over myself to get to him. ;)

Another oldie but goodie: http://www.celebrity-pictures-world.com/pics/g/gregory-peck/gregory-peck-006.jpg

And, of course:

(I'd make an exception on the facial hair for him)

I'm just now seeing this but I COMPLETELY agree with you.

Ok, we get it... you live in Colorado, you mountain bike, you ski, you drive a Jetta, wonderful, get over it. Put on a nice shirt! :-)
