where are they hiding???

For many, many years, I have asked friends and acquaintances if they know any single women. Almost every time they responded by saying everyone they know is married or seeing someone. Often they say they have a list of guys, for whom they are trying to find women. So the problem isn't finding the 'right' woman; it is finding any woman.

So I'm wondering if the women out there have plenty of men from which to pick, but can't find a good one. Or do they have the same problem I have - finding any warm bodies?

Oh I so love the turn this thread has taken!

Half of what makes these men so attractive is their charm! If someone were 20 years older than me but was as charming as Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday, it would not be a factor in the least!

Haha...charm schmarm...I was going more for their smoldering eyes and fabulously nekkid forearms.

Okaay, you put a good argument in for the charm

But the forearms and tie thingy totally had me hooked.

Well, yes, there IS that. :-)

I don't know about the Jimmy Stewart thing - for some reason, he reminds me of my dad so I just can't think of him that way. But Paul Newman - oh my goodness! Almost painful. :)

While I think that Clark Gable is attractive, there was always something slightly smarmy about him. Gregory Peck is definitely a man that I would love to meet on the bus.

And Jude Law, though attractive, never had the same effect on me. He's almost too pretty and not manly enough and I am not a fan of blonds (though I seem to keep dating them for some odd reason).

I have a thing for forearms, too! Nothing like the look of a nice watch on a famously sculpted wrist...sigh.

>>Ok, we get it... you live in Colorado, you mountain bike, you ski, you drive a Jetta, wonderful, get over it. Put on a nice shirt! :-)<<

Showering is good, too. Investing in a comb, maybe. :)

I love blondes (and not just because I am one), but tall and dark is also good.

What about a younger Robert Redford? And he definitely has the forearm thing going on. :)

Agree. Robert Redford is hot.

Not attracted to Jude Law. Too look at me, look at me (in the wrong ways) I dated one blonde and it was a disaster. So no more blondes for me. Way more attracted to darker men anyways.

Poor Schoolhouseguy...his thread had taken a turn towards hot Old Hollywood. :-)

Thanks Stacey... for that. I agree that everyone has their preferences whether it's age or weight or whatever. I just have a hard time calling anyone "gross" just because of their age. I am 52 BTW.

I went to this singles yoga event and got a number of this woman who is younger than me (I did not realize HOW much younger). We were going to meet for tea but she backed out. Just as well for I wanted to create a relationship that would be long term (so I got carried away by asking ... lol). It turned out that she is 28.

It was a nice ego boost for the moment. I have been told that I do look younger than my age... I attribute it to my Asian genes and my healthy (sorta) lifestyle.
