Shywon,

Yep our techs and much of the staff is over there on the East Coast and still sorting thru this hurricane mess. I can't believe there is a north easter coming thru next week now.

I heard the buses are back and the bridges are open again but still many places are still without power and some lost it who had it. I just hope all of our members are safe.

I have to log in twice, too.  I thought it was just me.  The fact that it doesn't jump to the last read post really, really irritates me.  There are threads on the help board that are really long and weeding through to find where you left off is just a huge time suck.  I think it has to do with the fact that we can't edit our preferences, but I don't know.  That's just my guess.  It also annoys me that I have to turn off signatures for every single thread and on every single page.  Here it's no big deal, but on the help board half of the page is signatures and I don't have time to weed through those too!

To top it off, iVillage offices are in NY, so many of the people fixing this were affected by the hurricane.

I have to log in twice to get in and there is no "Next discussion" or "Previous discussion", so I have to go Back every time I have read a thread. Hope this can be fixed!

I couldn't log in at all when they were doing the changes to the boards.  But then again, this month has been  kinda' busy for me & had something going on every weekend this month; not that I'm complaining lol!  But when I'd try to log in from work (when I had down time like right now) I couldn't log in to save my life.  I guess they finally got it fixed.

Julia-
I'm going to have to second what Thia said.  Although I'm pretty ticked that this format isn't working like it should, our switch to Lithium was just as bad, if not worse.  Getting things fixed took months at a time, and we had to wait in line behind every other company they were providing message boards for.  Lithium was not designed or intended to be used for something as big as iVillage. That was clear from the start.  Hopefully the tech team can kick it into gear soon, because after a week all I see being fixed is the login issue, and that was within the first couple of days.

I wish I had fun boy drama to discuss!  I'd be happy to share.  :)

I did have a job interview this week, and got a call for another job that is about to be posted.  So maybe I'll have a job soon?  In the meantime, I picked up some more contract work.  It's not perfect, but it helps pay the bills.

I got an offer on my place (I am looking to sell, and plan to rent wherever I get a job) but there's a bunch of hoops to jump through first before it's official.

When these things are settled, I promised myself I'd be more proactive in dating.  So you guys can hold me to it!

"And there's always Fifty Shades of Gray if one needed steamy sex scenes..." Ha! So true!

I'll just have to disagree with you ladies on this one.  If I want fantasy and drama, I will watch Lifetime movies or rent a DVD.
