I'm 30 years old & I work in the I.T. field for one of the top ten employers in the state (literally) and it definitely keeps me busy, esp when I have to work on-call after hours during the week. I've lived in Nashville, TN all my life and moved out here to Franklin about a year ago and love my apt. I renewed my lease for 15 months and in about two to three years, I will try to buy a townhome/condo. I have a 12 yo golden retriever who stays at the house in Nashville and I have a 16 yo cat & two cockatiels that stay w/me.
I am a father of grown kids who are smarter than me now, and just a normal, regular, and as the last post I just read said, one of those boring "nice guys" for the most part. Plan to remain just that way too. (-;
Oddly, I think you know more about us all than you think. In person, walls would be up and half these conversation don't happen. It is why I like this board, the conversation is reasonably honest, and plenty of intelligent folks around to talk to. (-:

Very true. You all know some things about me that my friends and family don't even know.
I am tallgirl (also don't share my real name here). I am 33, live in Denver, work as a writer/editor. I have been single and dating for almost four years. Before that, I was in a five-year relationship.
I have a dog - a Welsh Corgi mix. I own my townhouse.
Vegetarians will do very well in Denver -- they can find something at most restaurants here. (I am mostly vegetarian myself.) If you do want true vegetarian or vegan food, however, Watercourse is a must. Very yummy - and even non-veggies love it. http://www.watercoursefoods.com/

We're staying at the Denver Tech Center Plaza Hotel.
We like to get out to a fun pub if we can, but most of our trips away from the hotel are just for dinner or maybe lunch. (The trip is for the Korean War Ex-POW Assn. and we "kids" tend to stay at the hotel to help the vets, run the hospitality room and catch up with our POW family...doesn't allow for much time to leave the hotel.)
Thanks so much for the ideas!

Hey - I'm going to be in Denver the end of July through early August.
Any great place to eat we really should check out? Some of the folks in our group are vegetarians, so any tips for them would be super!
