Hi all!
I'm sure that this has been one of those questions that has been asked many times on these message boards...here goes again...
When it comes to dating, who pays for the date? I've always believed that if a person asks another person out, then the person doing the asking should be willing to pay. This makes perfect sense...right? However, does it matter whether or not the ask-er is male of female? In other words, is it fair to assume that the guy should ALWAYS be willing to pay for the date? I've heard different opinions about this. One person thinks that men should be willing to pay for the first several dates, as it is usually the male who is courting the female. Of course, this is 2007 (soon to be 2008!!!). Does that whole courting thing apply in these days and times? I'm an old-fashioned girl, so I think it would be wonderful if a man was always willing to pay.

A few inches difference is no big deal, but when asked out by someone significantly shorter, I always imagine dancing at our wedding looking like breastfeeding!! Yikes!!!

Very funny! I never have heard that one before! ((-:
Dancing is the worst . .you look right over there head. (-: Now . . if you haven't tried it, 5'2" makes for an absolutely perfect arm rest while walking. LoL So if you like to hike . .a short guy might be just what the Dr ordered. LoL
Miami is a rude city to me. In comparison I found everyone in Chicago to act as ambassadors for the city. Just a ton of pride. I took one night out about . . 3 . .maybe 4 years ago? Just me and walked around downtown all night. I stayed at the House of Blues, guess you would know where I was better than me. (-: Within minuets of walking in anyplace I had people talking to me, some one dancing with me, whatever. I was floored . . really cool place.

So if I get tired of paying for the dates then I stop asking her out and wait for her to ask me?
I think after X number of dates we will get to a place of comfort and familiarity where we can actually talk about splitting the check or alternating paying for it.
