Who's putting up a Christmas Tree?

I just wondered since many of us here might also live on our own, are you going to be putting up Christmas decorations this year?

Will you struggle single-handedly to bring some type of Norwegian Fir into your home? Or will it be bah humbug all the way?

I am still thinking about the Christmas tree and whether to put it up. I love Christmas trees, and have all the ornaments etc, but this year will be the first when I am truly single and there will be no one but me and my dog at my condo on Christmas Day. Not even a useless BF to exchange gifts with.

To top it off, I don't think I will have any presents to open this year - so it will look a little depressing under the tree. I know about the presents because my parents sent me cash, my grandmum gets me a magazine subscription, my other grandparents still send me £10 to my parents' home in England and I never see that money! And that's pretty much the gift givers to anyone in my age/single category.

I can't believe I am getting ready for my first present-less Christmas ever. Oh well. I am definitely keeping the bottle of Bailey's tradition though!

I put up my treee every year, topped off with window lights and decorations around my living room. It's not Xmas without for me.

But I cheat, I have a fake tree that I fold up every year and reuse. But its 6 feet and looks cute. I must have a tree.

The correct term for that long 'a' sound English people can have is RP or Received Pronunciation, also known as the 'Queen's English'.

I threw out my tree a couple of years ago. I kept saying I will buy a little tabletop

Nope. No room, money or desire for a tree this year. Not looking to be the best Christmas ever this time out. I am sure I will lunch with the parents, my son and I will visit, my daughter will blow me off this year . . and frankly, I would dodge a date at this point . .cash is tight this year, no last minuet curve balls, thank you. (-: Now that New Years kiss might need some last minuet attention . . .LoL

Hey . . if you get to bored . .we loners can meet here for pleasantries. (-:

I'm not putting up a tree but I did buy gifts. But not as many as usual.

I bought for my parents, two friends, my favorite aunt, my gram and the guy I'm dating. That's it.

It's a slim christmas this year.
