Why is it...?

Since taking this sociology course the professor has sort of inspired me to think about our relationship with other women and men...These are some of the thoughts, Agree/disagree, feel free to respond back.

1) Why is it that at times we talk nice to someone's face but at times we will talk nasty behind their back?

2) Why is it that we dress really sexy but then when guys oogle our goods we get all creeped out? who are we dressing for (for ourselves, for attention ie men, for other reasons)

3) Why is it that we crave material items (design jeans, sunglasses etc.) when I talk to my friends deep down it doesn't seem like these items are important to us.

4) Why is it that guys stare at our boobs, butts etc. but we never stare at their crotches, instead we turn or heads, do not make eye contact, or look down

5) Why are women so manipulative at each other when a single attractive guy comes into the room

6) Why is it that Tyra Banks is considered fat when she is what I consider a slender person? at the same time, why is it that Tyra Banks is saying she is "average/normal/healthy" when on her reality show she has stated that "you are too FAT"

7) Why are men allowed to discuss their "hook-ups" but women are suppose to be modest and pure?

8) why is it we act stupid but really we are smart?

9) why is it that we will wear white spandex with a black thong for everyone to see when we are at the gym?

I actually go to college in Indiana but grew up in Colorado. I guess you can assume that I am from LA but I have only been there once in the airport :)
