I really don't get why it is that anymore, you can't buy a pair of anything- jeans, pants, and now SWEATS without having the back side so short that it rides down so low that it feels like you're exposing yourself.

I hear that the low-riders are on their way out. Thank God! They can take the "skinny jean" out with them as far as I'm concerned. That look is SO unflattering for anyone over a size 6, myself, included.

Yeah...and they're replacing them with high-waisted pants!

What do you think of the ballet slipper look? Everyone else seems to love them but all the sight of them does is bring back really bad memories from my awkward teenage years. Remember Sam & Libby? I don't know how old you are, you may be too young to remember those.

Ha, did I do that to my dog? Yes. I swear that the lights didn't even have time to get warm and she wasn't in any sort of danger. Besides, she LOVES Christmas lights. I came home from work one day and she had eaten two entire strands of them.

I'm not fond of the ballet slipper look.

Actually I prefer low waisted jeans not the ultra low ones the OP are talking about but the ones that just sit right on the hip. THose are the best and I'm well above a size 6 and they are the most flattering for my figure because I have such a high waist I have these big boobs and then if I wear regular jeans they cut me right below the boob area and then I have a belly. So the low waisted ones are fabulous for me.

However you are right take those skinny jeans out. But I read those weren't very successful outside of the major cities such as NY and LA.

Ha, that's funny. My sister and her family have three cats. They scare me a little. Yeah, I don't mind admitting it. They're creepy. I'm sorry cat lovers! They stare. And while they are kinda cute and furry, when I reach down to pet them, they freeze up and act as if they are about to attack.

Zoe has also eaten a chunk out of two different couches of mine, belts, shoes, a wall, several leashes, countless toys, a remote and I'm sure several other things that I do not recall. But I love her!

The skinny jeans are the ones that I think do not look good on those over a size six, not the low waisted jeans. Unfortunately for them, there are some girls running around in Nashville trying to sport this look and they are not in the single digits. I am not either, but I got "the memo". Poor things.

Yeah, I agree, the high waist is just as unflattering as the VERY LOW waisted jeans. A high waist makes ones posterior look too long! I don't think that the "Mom Jeans" will ever be in style! Let's hope not. ICK.

LOL

My mother always wore the mom jeans. And I have tried for years to get her to try on the low waisted and she was like "I'm too fat" so I had to show her an article that said that for bigger girls it's better to wear low waisted jeans because of the factor I mentioned in the other post. So finally I convinced her to go to old navy with me, she tried on these low rider jeans and pants, she looks in the mirror and is like "MY BUTT LOOKS AWESOME" She bought about 4 pairs of pants that day of course because she's so short she had to get them shortened but she was THRILLED with the look.
