Wild Conjecture

I visited Starbucks today and my cup read, to my best recollection, "Do unto others what you do unto yourself. To love someone is to love yourself...." or something like that. What does it mean it to love yourself?

Honestly, I don't even know why I am so afraid of approaching women. After reading the quote, I thought of my family, a traditional Chinese family that does not show many expressions of love. Perhaps I never really understood what love per se means, or learned how to love someone or myself. (Sigh) Don't get me wrong: I am not trying to blame others for my problem, but what if I am someone who needs those expressions of love?

Am I making any sense or is it just a wild conjecture?

a lot of families regardless of their background do not feel comfortable showing emotions. they are the reason their kids can not express love. If you feel you missed that part of growing, you should see a counselor and try to work on loving yuorself and your family before you could love a partner.
I ve been to some lectures on knowing ones self and accepting it. It is amazing how learning about yourself can help.

I wrote a reply with some guy-to-guy thoughts, but this is a women's forum and not the right place for this. Let's read the girls' responses.
