Do you all think women in good jobs seem indifferent towards men, especially in management?
I just don't see that "desire" in them?
I think thats what makes a lot of men angry and they don't want to see women in higher positions, right?

The funny thing about that is that I DON'T get offended quickly, and anyone who knows me would tell you that. I just lose patience with people who ask for advice and then don't seem to appreciate nor listen very much to it. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but that's how it seems.

Well, if you want to know about tangible achievements: I have an MD degree and I'm successful in my career. Non-tangible ones include: I'm smart, well-read, kind, honest, fun to be with, maintain nice physical appearance and health. Of course I'm speaking relative, there are certainly people who make more money than me or have more power than me but generally speaking I think my achievement is on the high end of the bell curve. So defninately I deserve to be with someone who's in an authority position like I am. Again I'm not looking for Bill gates or multi millionaires, just someone compatable in education, professional and economic level. That's really not much to ask since I'm not asking for anything that I don't offer myself.

I have to agree with you.
Jackmoin - I've noticed through a lot of the posts in other threads that your ideas about women seem a little off. Not to discount your experiences, but it seems like you've got a very low regard for women.

Well that's an intelligent response. Regardless, that's definitely the way you're coming off.

LOL!

Thanks for getting my back. Incorrect grammar and spelling drive me nuts. That and using all lower case all the time!
I've been known to be wrong before, and I'm certain it'll happen again, but I'm still entitled to my opinion.

Jackmoin - prove my theory wrong.

Aaahh.. the infamous word "deserve", just like the equally infamous "entitled". An important lesson people need to learn early on in life, is that in life (as in business) we don't get what we DESERVE. We get what we ACQUIRE.

Well, that along with the "no, I'm not, YOU are!" fifth-grade method of arguement...come on now. Either don't post at all if you think people are wrong about you or defend it with more than, "no I'm not."

thanks for your trite word of wisdom.

Nevertheless to indulge you: I was expressing an opinion about what I'd like to have. Of course if the question was asked to you what would you like to have (in regard to anything: money, love, friendship, whatever....) you would probably say you deserve to have x,y, and z. Whether or not you get it is another matter. Next time spend more time understanding the context rather than regurgitating ad nauseum some overused and contrived philosophy. Instead of making you seem profound, it makes you unecessarily hostile. Why would you want to do that unprovoked?
