I should be cleaning or something, but I'm tired from forgetting my vitamins too many days in a row and going out too many nights in a row. I'm bored...but it looks like everyone else is off being busy today. It might rain a bit soon. That's about as exciting as it gets around these parts today. That is pretty exciting, though, given I can't remember the last time it rained.

Last night was pretty uneventful or I'd post about that. No news about the boy or I'd post about that. See how exciting things are today?? I'm watching Mythbusters reruns and hanging out on the couch.

What's everyone else up to?

Let me see if I can provide a little entertainment....it's been a very social weekend for me, I am pleased!

Friday night was Date #3 with a guy.  It was fun, not overly romantic, consistent with our other dates.  But that's a topic for another time when I process the info in my own head.

Saturday was girls night out dancing to an 80's music bar.  Definitely a good time!

This afternoon, a few of us went over to a friend's house to sit on her porch and we had a potluck late lunch.

I did get groceries but nothing much else got done around the house.  So now I am racing to get ready for tomorrow.....but right now I feel lucky to have had a weekend like this, and feel like I have a big support network.  It's times like these that get me through the weekends where I feel like I have no friends and nothing to do.

Hi Shy,

I feel like that sometimes, too!  Glad you find your collection here amusing.

Worked out super, super hard with the team this morning; came home and took a shower, dressed up and went to lunch with a gf.  Met her at noon and we had such fun we were still sitting there talking 4 hours later!  I have a sixth date with Alan the Gallant tonight, but the happier news is that a lover from Boston who I forgot about just called to say he's in town for two weeks working on a film, so that's nice.  I hope to see him this week.

It's been a beautiful day since around 11 AM here - sunny, warm. I'm wearing a cute short sexy dress that will get Alan salivating. TONIGHT is his Big Test.  I'm going to get him somewhere private and then attempt to make out with him and see how it feels. If he still can't kiss, this will be our last date.  But if he surprises me and all his bragging about his sexual prowess has any chance of being true then I'll continue.  I'm ready for a stable relationship in my life. It may as well be him. It's nice to be worshipped. I've decided that if we DO become lovers, though, I will never commit to monogamy, even if he asks, but that I won't mention it until he does.

I may report on progress later this evening or tomorrow, depending on how he plays his cards.

A third date? That's pretty awesome!

I went to a place that had an eighties band last night, but I wasn't really inspired to dance. Bands don't really do it for me usually, no matter how good they are.

Having a support system of friends is so incredibly important when you're single. My friends get me through the weekends, too.

Keep us updated on the guy!

I was more or less on mom duty this weekend.  My DD (who is a nurse who lives out of state) was home for the weekend--tomorrow she is on vacation & going to Fla.  I did go to my dance practice Fri. night plus took an extra class before, so that was 2.5 hours of dancing--I had to come home & jump right in the shower.  The real reason I had to stay home was more to drive my son around--he had to work Sat. in the afternoon so I told him after he got out of work I'd take him to dinner, then he asked me if I would drive him & a friend to Dairy Queen--isn't that cute?  Of course the friend is a cute girl he is trying to impress.  Even though he recently got his license, he isn't able to drive a friend for the 1st 6 months.  I didn't really plan anything for today so I got some stuff done around the house.  My mom gave my son a car which my DD drove here from my mom's house (an hour away)--she has been using it for the weekend but now that my son will have his own car, mom won't be so tied down all the time.  We are both happy about it.

Friday nite I met up with my gf and her new guy...I hate being the third wheel.  I got to see My Bobby.  We've been dancing around each other for about 3yrs.  It's never going anywhere but I do love seeing him.  He wanted me to dump my gf and come back to his place but I firmly told him if he wanted to hang out, he could call me.  :smileywink:

I did not get to bed until after 1am and had to start work at 530 and it was a 12hr day.  Ugh.  I made it just fine.

Unfortunately, the disruption in my schedule kicked my insomnia into high gear.  Getting older really sucks.  Today was completely unproductive as I was in a daze all day.    I unhappily re-scheduled my dinner for tonight.  Tomorrow will be another 12hr bust ass day and Tuesday is when the REALLY BIG big wigs come by for their big meetings.  We are their biggest account of this sort and a 'flagship'.    I don't care what they think of the management company, I just want my area to be clean, well run, at the top of their game.  So tomorrow will be a lot of work.

I need to get a life outside of work - really.

I really wish it would rain.  It's so flipping hot that rain would be so welcome.   Don't want to put the A/C in yet.

There are storms northwest of us now that I'm really, really hoping make it here. It's not likely, though. It's ridiculous how dry it is. I've had my ac on for weeks now. I'm a wimp when comes to heat!

I suppose I should go water my flowers. The couch is far more comfy, though!

So glad y'all decided to come out of hiding!

My nieces who live the next state over drove over for the weekend. We all went to a baseball game in the Bronx no less. We had such a ball and we went out and hung out and had girls weekend.. I am so blessed to have them in my life and family's life. They left and we had such a great visit with them.. Nobody to check out at the baseball game as everyone's eyes were glued to the game but we had a blast.

Its been pretty hot here also and I have now moved my bedroom and sleep to the downstairs back room.. Much cooler and with two windows breeze going through very nice..My AC is broken and now have to figure out that one. I need a man. I need a man. I need a man.....

Sis is at her boyfriends and so no more nagging from her till she gets home tomorrow (lol)......
So just chilling and watching the emmys and playing on facebook.

GoodNight

Baseball is a sport that I just can't get into. The game just moves sooooo slowly!

I just finished cleaning the bathrooms. I hate scrubbing the tub. It's the one job that I'd make my husband do if I had one! I'd do everything else if he would clean the bathrooms!
