You say it's your Birthday?

If I'm not mistaken, there are a couple of Birthdays around here today.
Happy Birthday to Shy and anyone else celebrating today!
Best wishes to all!

>>not so much when there are 21 year old Barbies floating around! <<
The under 25s are not the only ones capable of being sexy and catching someone's eye. Don't sell yourself short. You also don't have to look like Barbie!
The benefits of being a little older, in spite of the extra lines and all that fun stuff that goes with age, include being more confident, wiser (also smarter in a lot of cases), having interests that go beyond boys and clothes, and being better in bed -- all of those can be very attractive.
So, enjoy the night out and have fun in the "feeling hot" outfit. :)
(29 is not so bad -- and everyone I know says the 30s are the best decade anyway -- lots to look forward to).

I didn't find a feeling hot outfit, but I did find the elusive pair of jeans I've been looking for.
LOL. I always have the problem with the jeans being too short and my boobs not being big enough to fill anything out (and they're not even that small).
No woman can win when it comes to trying on clothes! They don't make clothes to fit any of us - it's a conspiracy, I tell you. :)
I hope your friend calls soon! I hate the last-minute plans as well - by the time that call comes, I usually don't feel like going out anymore. Do you have any other friends you can call as backup? If I were in KC, I'd come help you celebrate.

She just cancelled.
Oh, Shy, I'm sorry to hear that! Hey, you could do what I did when I got stood up last Sat evening and put an ad on Craig's List for a last-minute date, LOL! It turned out to be *quite* the adventure...it was really fun (although I'm uncertain anything will come of it with the guy I met).
But happy birthday nonetheless, you youngster you ;-)!

I've read too many strange stories about Craig's List.
Ugh, that's a bummer. I know that feeling. I have two friends who I can hardly ever count on to keep plans. In fact, when I do have plans with them and something else comes up, I usually accept the other offer knowing that things will fall through with my friend anyway. It's sad how predicatble people are and either they don't know it or just don't care. It does get old.
Hope you had a nice, relaxing day though. That is sometimes the best gift I can give myself... to just chill.
That's such a bummer! I have a friend who does that all the time -- I've been stood up for the boyfriend more times than I can count. It's aggravating that women don't realize that their friendships are also an important part of life and take energy and investment.
Craig's list isn't so bad. I've met a few decent people that way. I think you just need to be extra picky when weeding through, but the weirdos are usually pretty obvious. You can always post an ad in the "strictly platonic" section and look for other female friends as well.
Hope the rest of your birthday weekend was nice. :)

I did check out CL just for kicks and I didn't even get any kicks from it!
