While looking for the nutritional content for Baked Lays (which will accompany my Subway sandwich for lunch), I found this website.

You can look up foods from restaurants and see how bad they are for you.

During my last year or two of college, Chipotle came to town. We probably ate burritos at least 5 times a week. A couple years ago, I found out one of those burritos has an average of 800 calories. It didn't affect me much in college but now, I don't dare have one of those burritos. (Did you know they cook their rice in oil?- yikes!)

Oh my --

One order of Calimari Fritti from the Macaroni Grill (my fave thing there): 1000 calories and 77 g of fat! I didn't know things could contain that much fat! Okay, I know it is fried, but ... at least it is all protein.

And my Grande Caffe Mocha with Whipped Cream and whole milk at Starbucks: 400 calories and 22 g of fat! I am glad I have been making my own coffee lately.

Wow, thank you for that, it was informative. But now I can never eat again. Unless I make it myself, but I will get tired of that and grab some more Calimari Fritti ;)

My favorite thing for lunch is PF Chang's warm duck spinach salad. Didn't look so bad at first, 216 calories and 13 grams of fat. BUT, there are FOUR servings in one bowl!!

I only ever eat half - but that's still 26 grams of fat. (Daily max should be 65 grams).
I will now only order it with the dressing on the side - that's where salads kill you. Good thing the spinach is good for me. :)

My Starbucks tall non-fat chai is only 170 calories and 0 grams fat - BUT there are 34 grams of sugar in it. I had no idea.

UGH. This is why I try not to eat out much. I only get the salad about once every few months. The nonfat chais will be a harder habit to break!

AJ, enjoying life with C.
