Any good stories to share?

My heart goes out to you hun, to all the military wives because I can't imagine how hard it is having your DH or bf over there in the sandbox. One of my best friends from high school, her DH is over there as well and he was deployed to Iraq just one day after she gave birth to their son. She misses her hubby like crazy as well and I just can't imagine how hard it is. My heart really goes out to you and the other military wives and I pray that he comes back home soon. I've always supported our military 200% & always will.

When I was 24, my new boyfriend Miguel asked me out for Valentine's Day. I was SO excited to finally have a date for the holiday. I spent all night getting ready as a couple of girlfriends watched with envy and giggled about how cute he was with me.

Miguel showed up on time and dressed to the nines. Even his car was freshly washed! He looked great, and I was so excited. He opened the car door for me like a perfect gentleman.

As we left the driveway, he went in the opposite direction of the restaurant. I asked where we were going, thinking he had planned some romantic surprise. Boy was I wrong! He proceeded to break up with me, using the excuse that he was moving out of town the next month. At this point I realized we'd only gone around the block, and he pulled back into my driveway and dropped me off.

Adding insult to injury - friends spotted him out that night with another girl and just assumed it was me, and called me during the week saying how cute we looked at the movie theater and restaurant.

Oh I would've been livid! Get all dressed up, and then he dumps you. I don't know why some guys have to be like that. I think I would have half strangled him. I'm sorry you had to go through that, that really irks me.

My worst Valentine's Day was actually a blessing in disguise.

Valentine's Day is my mom's birthday. So that's how I treat it. Mr. Pooh will do something for me, no matter how much I tell him not to, but I'm the biggest hypocrite walkin'.

When I lived in Texas, I used to send out cards to all my friends... basically thanking them for being in my life. Mr. Pooh would get a goofy care package. M&Ms, DVDs, etc. When I moved home, I found out he kept them.

This year, we're taking my mom out for our birthdays. Mine's today.

Moving on...to the worse Valentine's Day...

I used to buy the ex a rose and a gift. He didn't have anything for me, not even a card. Wouldn't answer the door when I knocked. Found out later he was getting a gift from the woman he was cheating on me with.

Well it could be good or bad, I have been single for over4 years so no Vday gifts or cards for me except from mom lol.

Now I have always wondered, for the married couples shouldn't their anniversary be enough to celebrate their love for another?

Easy, mine was in 1996, it was my 18th birthday.

I had no plans and no Valentine's so me and my best friend (who had just split with her BF) decided to go to the movies together to see Waiting to Exhale. I was casually dating a guy a really liked, but he told me he wasn't looking for a relationship.

We sighed and felt sad during the whole movie. Afterwards, we both bitched about the guys we'd been seeing and then decided to go spy on them. They lived behind the movie theater. As we're hiding in bushes, a Honda Accord pulls up and its the car of the other girl who was seeing the guy I was seeing. She pulls up with Vday balloons and gifts and enter's my guy's pad. Apparently they had plans.

I went home that night feeling like total crud and vowed to never do that again (spy and be left doing something lame on Vday). Every year since has been a blast. Course, its my B-day too so I have to celebrate.
