So, KoH as we will call him now from my single parents group...

Well, he decided that enough was enough and he could no longer wait till Sunday to meet me. I was like well, there's no way I could get a sitter this late, but I mean you're welcome to come by for a beer or something if you'd like? So we decided to go with it..

Well, he was 25 minutes early, I was totally naked in my downstairs bathroom and I hear my phone go off. I walk out to get it and its a text saying "I think I'm here". I was like holy sh..., my hair is frizzy, i'm dripping sweat from rushing, I have one eye of makeup on. And

and by then, it was too late."

EEEECH at this part "but never forget that he is very very recently separated."

So does that mean his divorce is not yet final?

Be careful, indeed! Because I have seen a lot of trouble from that stage - the euphoria of meeting someone new, connecting and having all the joy and infatuation of a new relationship is even more joyful for someone separated. Until the emotions and negotiations start to play - and then they have all the emotional and logistical damage to deal with from their divorce and failed marriage.

omg.. SO recently separated! In this state you have to be legally separated for one year before you can file for divorce. So I really can't hold it against someone if their divorce isn't final. So from what I understand he moved out for about six months, they moved back in together, then she cheated on him shortly after and is still dating this man. For financial reasons they both stayed in the house together for the last three months, and he JUST moved out last weekend. Ouch, I know :(

Neither one of us were looking to date, it just kind of happened. I had to laugh the day he said "I don't even know if I'll even get married again some day". I was like ya know, I said the same thing, and so did everyone I know thats divorced" I told him a lot of things change once you get your distance and spend some time focusing on you.

He did say he's scared that he'll hurt me, and I was like yah well I'm afraid of that too lol. But the same as I told you guys I said I just need to remember where you're coming from, and we have to take things slow.

He's a good guy though, so I'll use my metaphore for you all with a new relationship:
Time to get back on the ride! lol

How fun that there was so much chemistry... and you sound like you had a fun night. Fantastic. I also agree with west about the seperation....

And i would feel like you.... why he keeps saying your trouble... probably because of the recently seperation? My impression of a guy who keeps telling me i'm trouble is that he doesn't want to get involved... so i would have fun with it but not get too emotionally involved... if that's possible.

Looking forward to the next update.

Here's something to make you guys laugh lol...

For an hour before he got here I never heard a peep out of the girls, I should of went and checked, but I assumed they were asleep. It was 11pm!!! lol

So, nothing is going on we're sitting on opposite ends of the couch and just talking, and I hear Em crying upstairs. Then she tells me that Lauren is downstairs under the end table spying on me. I was like Grrr!!!! My girls know that I date, they know I'll have dates over to like watch a movie after they go to bed.. I'm ok with that. My issue with "introducing children" is when you start to really involve them. So I was ok with that fact that they "saw" him.

Ok, so anyway I bust Lauren spying, get her in bed, and everything was fine from then on... until this morning. Emily says to me... Do you know why I was crying? I said no why? She said because you're dating the bizarre foods guy who eats turtle blood! I was like do what huh?? Because at this point all I had processed was bizarre and turtle blood lol. So my older daughter said yes he looks like Frank Zimmern from bizarre foods.

Ok, so first of all how does my 7 year old remember these things off a show we've watched like twice? lol

So, I had to calm the girls down and let them know that I am NOT dating the turtle blood guy lol.

You're so right. He was wanting to do the Friday thing, and I was thinking in the back of my mind thats a lot to push into one week/weekend. The good part about me and taking it slow is that my job demands it lol. Its just that I'm on vacation right now until next Monday, then I work till Wednesday and I'm off for 7 more days. So I have tons of free time right now :/ But normally I work 7 on / 7 off... so yah.. lol.

And you're so right. You kept saying TR.. and all I kept seeing was Train Wreck lol.

I can't NOT date someone because of those kinds of red flags. All I can do is take off the rose colored glasses and try my best to be aware of whats going on around me. I do need a slower ride though, the last one was a roller coaster that left my head spinning in the end lol.

I think she means that if one is a bullet train and one is not it is still a bullet train. Meaning it is not enough to be careful if you are dealing with one - you have to get off.
