That so sucks. I am glad you had a good meal though. Let us know what you hear back from him. I agree. No excuse!

BOO HISS....
I am so sorry that happened rlch. And I agree that unless you are a doctor, what kind of emergency are we talking about? Also, why cant people be responsible and when they have a date ( which has taken HOW long to set up again??) why not bring contact info with you that day so you can be respectful if for some reason, something DOES come up? Its just disappointing all the way around. I mean if he knew you and had a previous friendship with you, he would have been more prepared than this and shown more respect IMO.
Ugh....UPwards and onwards I say!

Darn it!!!!!

What the HECK is in the water the men are drinking these days? The NERVE. I am angry FOR you. You were kind to even email him back. And to anyone out there whose opinion is to "give the guy a break and stop man-bashing" well here is the perfect example as to why we deservingly get upset. It simply is rude to cancel a date within the hour unless it is like you said a true emergency and even then a man with a brain cell knows how to pick up the phone.

He took to coward way out of the date. His loss...he will never know what a wonderful person he missed out on meeting.

No exscuse for rudeness. But some women do tend to pick men who send out unavailable vibes. Over 40, never married, no kids, highly career focused-big clues. These men seem like great catches on the surface but look beneath. It's the rare man that has all these qualities and is marriage material too.
