I could swear I have a pattern going....
It turns out that not only does the guy from the grocery not have kids and divorced because the wives were career oriented, but is also a cancer like the last two men in my life. WEIRD? Third one a charm?? LOL.
Anyway, he seems to at least like kids. He's a school counselor. But isn't yet ready to say no to not having a family. Which could be a potential problem, but not something I wanted to discuss during the second date. It just came up that he would have liked to have had a family of his own but it just didn't work out that way.
We went for Italian which was really nice. Another strange thing is this guys Dad is a retired accountant too with a disability. Just like Nascars dad. It was so weird to hear all the similiarities from the last two guys. Nascar was a IT guy, but Mr. History was a teacher and this guy is a counselor. ?????? Just odd.
He's another geeky nerdy looking guy and short, like the last two. I don't know what it is about me and the geeks, but I find them adorable, even though they end up like trouble too.
But it's not like they have a sign walking around, it's just odd how similiar. Prior to the last three I never dated a cancer or guys that had wives run out on them for their careers and now suddenly three in a row??

Hey Cat,
I totally get the man's man thing. Not chauvinistic, testosterone-overloaded, knuckle dragging, trash can beating ape type of man's man....but the kind of guy who just has that masculine thing going on. And it's not even the typical description of masculine that IMO makes a man masculine. I like guys who are confidant (not cocky), responsible, steady, a bit assertive, and know how to respect a lady..I'm a sucker for chivallry. Broad shoulders don't hurt either :o) I love it when my guy knows how to fix the diswasher, change the oil in my car, and isn't afraid to get the spider on the living room wall. Add to that if he is secure enough to love to communicate honestly, and love to cook...Ahhhh.
When you describe "Quasi" he sounds like a good guy. Uniqueness and character is great :0) I'm looking forward to your next update!!
Gee, I barely have the energy to get up and move at 5 am much less work out AND hit on someone at the gym.
I tend to do my workouts at noon or later for it breaks up the day and that's when my body wakes up.
I wonder how does someone hit on you at the gym?
I nver married my father but if I ever did marry someone like him I would be lucky. My dad is the kindest, most compassionate and interesting man I know. We have grown close over the years and I love his heart.
Have you ever found yourself strangely attracted to a characteristic over and over again that is not of the "norm", like Cat's attraction to "geeks"? I have one- I have always felt that the lines around the outside of a guy's eyes make him attractive. You know the ones that get deeper when he smiles or squints. It is the look of experience, history, being out in the sun...life. I love those lines :o)
And here's another- Bruce Willis, Phil Collins, my college boyfriend, my exH...they all had receding hairlines and I found it sexy. I can't explain that one but it's
Yes, that confidence thing is a awesome sight to see on a guy who basically has nothing much going for him. LOL
But I LOVE brains. I love being able to communicate and the longer I communicate the quicker the unattractiveness falls away. Suddenly... I'll think he is the most sexiest man alive. Then I get jealous and territorial of any female in his vacinity. LOL. Strange how the longer you get to know the inside of someone the quicker the outside appearance fades.
Like Alex's Father. Sexiest man alive EVER but he's the toad of toads. When I see him, I see ugly!
Matter of fact, I'll post his picture to prove it.
What??? Am I missing something? LOL! he's hot! I love a man in uniform :o)
Yup - he's hot!!!
I was thinking of you yesterday when a patient came in and said they LOVE their surgeon, Dr Dunn, because she thinks he looks like Sam Elliott!! I'n not sure I see the resemblance?
