2nd date planned

Okay - MtEverest and I have figured out what we are doing for our 2nd date. He is still in the great NW on business and managed to fit in a call and some texts today. At first we said kayaking - but then we added biking on to that. So, we will bike in the morning, grab a bite to eat and then kayak. I need to ride as part of my training schedule and he loves to ride early - this is for Sunday since he is not back in town until really late on Friday and has to recoop on Saturday. He has been working and skiing all week.

Now, I have to figure out a way for my helmet not to give me hat-head after 2 hours of riding. Geez. You would think they could have such a feature in the design.

I replied to a couple of the eharmony matches this morning - but no response yet. I am not that wild about any of them. There is a 34 year old writing and we have common interests - but I think that is too young for me.

I am so so sleepy - had a hard bike ride in the wind today and just finished some home made burritos with DS.

Saturday for me is going to be a buster - I have a 3.5 hour ride, a 1 hour run and a 1 hour swim. I guess that will keep me out of trouble, eh? LOL!!

Well, Judy- if MtEverest is worth his weight (to keep)- then he won't mind it if you have helmet hair from a bike ride together! Just like when Hiker and I get all dusty and sweaty from our hikes... it's all done in fun, so it doesn't matter what we look like- especially when we both have our own icky looks! lol

Besides- it's not like you were showing up for a date in a restaurant all cleaned up- but still with helmet hair. ;-)

Hope you have a great time!

~shrimpy, who just punished her body with an hour of Jillian workouts (oh but it's soooo gooood)

Oh yes! I would love to have her arms, too!

Yes, I've been to her website. I'm a member there (for now) too. I'm not doing ONLY her stuff in my fitness journey, but she is definitely a part of it.

What's funny is... she has a zillion people as members of her site, and no one from there has ever contacted me. But last week, someone in TX invited me to be her "buddy" so we can help each other with support, and it turns out- she lives in my city!!! Of all the people on Jillian's site, and of all the people and cities in TEXAS, too... and we live in the same one. LOL

She's a member of one of our local gyms, but I'm not sure yet if I plan to join a gym or not. Using a gym means GOING somewhere and doing something with the kids in the meantime... and often I'm finding time to work out for the day here at home, after they are in bed. So the gym would have to be something I would use only if I could get there while they are in school. (They've never been big fans of hanging out in the childcare areas of gyms- when I'd been a member in the past) So I'm just not sure if a gym would pay off for me, as I might not get there as often.

Though the thought of having a place where I could play raquetball again.... that'd be cool. If I could find someone to play against, that is!

Well, I think we are going to have to have a plan B. I was riding my bike this morning with my friends and the girl in front of me went down and I had no time to react so rode over the top of her bike, thought I was going to stay up, and then crashed. I have road rash on my shoulder (rlch - any good suggestions for that?) and a couple of other places.

So, I sent MtEverest a note about how we need a plan B!! He was really nice and is going to call back to check on me.
