2nd date planned

Okay - MtEverest and I have figured out what we are doing for our 2nd date. He is still in the great NW on business and managed to fit in a call and some texts today. At first we said kayaking - but then we added biking on to that. So, we will bike in the morning, grab a bite to eat and then kayak. I need to ride as part of my training schedule and he loves to ride early - this is for Sunday since he is not back in town until really late on Friday and has to recoop on Saturday. He has been working and skiing all week.

Now, I have to figure out a way for my helmet not to give me hat-head after 2 hours of riding. Geez. You would think they could have such a feature in the design.

I replied to a couple of the eharmony matches this morning - but no response yet. I am not that wild about any of them. There is a 34 year old writing and we have common interests - but I think that is too young for me.

I am so so sleepy - had a hard bike ride in the wind today and just finished some home made burritos with DS.

Saturday for me is going to be a buster - I have a 3.5 hour ride, a 1 hour run and a 1 hour swim. I guess that will keep me out of trouble, eh? LOL!!

And it's your birthday? Sheesh, you do have to keep life interesting. Keep us posted on plan B. I know if I crashed on my bike (I'm a year older than you) I'd need a new hip or something. It is evidence of how in shape you are that all you have is some road rash, though that sucks a lot with your big date plans. But if any guy could totally get the fall out of a bike crash it has to be Mt. /Everest, I'm guessing he's had his share.

Happy birthday, Judy! You deserve a huge slice of cake!

Thanks, QB - that is nice of you. I got lucky because somehow I stayed up and rode over part of her bike - I really thought I was going to make it but then my back wheel went out from under me when it hit her front wheel. We are all lucky for a lot of reasons.

I feel better now.

The funny thing about me is that I faint easy. And when I saw my road rash that made me feel faint. So, right now I am waiting for my neighbor to get me the stuff for it - figured that if I walk into the drug store with this everyone will freak out and make me feel faint again!!

Should be back in the saddle at the beginning of the week if not tomorrow on the mountain bike to go for coffee or something.

"I have road rash on my shoulder (rlch - any good suggestions for that?)">>>>>Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment. Wash it good with soap and water (dont scrub) a few times/day. Put some Neosporin or triple antibiotic on it. Wear a cotton T shirt.....
