2nd date report

Okay girls - this house just got settled in enough for me to write to you and type the details from a very happy 2nd date.

Luckily when I woke up this morning, I did not have any major pain from my bike crash. I do have a large patch of road rash the size of a racquet ball on the top of my left arm/shoulder. I patched it up with neosporin and gauze and tape. There is a cut on my left knee and my right thumb is swollen. But okay really.

MtEverest decided we should be very careful and not do anything at all exerting. He was really worried about me.

He decided to cook me brunch! Which is kind of fun because usually I end up cooking. And he insisted on cleaning his kitchen, too, would NOT let me help with anything. We had a nice afternoon talking - he showed me his kid's pix and a cool extreme skiing movie and I got a tour of his house - he does a lot of the work himself - plus he has neat travel pix. And he gave me a new bandage for my arm. I showed him the pix in my phone of my 2 canine banchees and my son. I had to get back here for DS - so that was good - we wanted to spend more time talking and visiting.

I like him girls!! I really do. I told him he spoiled me and he loved that.

One thing that is good is that we can just sit and visit and he does NOT get on my nerves the way MA did - oh my goodness- that is like night and day. And he is not pushy - he respects me and my space. Plus I think we are going to be nicely paced with our kids and their schedules. This weekend he is going away skiing again for his mom's birthday and meeting up with his sisters.

Also, he is really funny!! I like his sense of humor.

Thanks, Moon. And yes - at first we were nervous but I did get one good kiss when we were saying goodbye.

I think we are both being careful. And that is a welcome relief after MA!

The road rash is a little better this morning. I am thinking of putting that liquid bandaid stuff on it for tomorrow so I can go in the pool.

So, did you use the liquid band-aid?

I haven't used it yet - was going to give it a chance to scab - but with this report I might just wait. The package says it doesn't hurt and is a good waterproof bandage for cuts and blisters and such - and I know of a few athletes who have done that so they could swim with road rash - bit I don't want it to sting!!

For what it's worth, the cut I put the stuff on was a very deep one on my thumb that just wouldn't heal.
