Since we were not too busy at the office this week, Thursday I asked my boss if I could take Friday off...no problem. 4-day weekend yeah me! ONE HOUR after I had asked, my neice called to let me know that my sister was taking my dad to the emergency room as he had an "episode". The drs. are thinking he had another light stroke and he is still in the hospital and is NOT happy about it. I'm hoping he comes home today.
On the way back from the hospital Friday afternoon (which is like 45 minutes away), my car starts trying to die when I have to stop or slow down. I take it to our local car place they think its a throttle sensor problem but can't look at it until Monday. This was at 4:00 in the afternoon and I have to be at my pt time job at 5:00 that is 20 minutes away. I ended up calling my boss and am using his wife's car. I was so embarrassed.
After counting the register last night at the store, we're $300 over WTF? Then the paper jams in the printer! I JUST WANT TO GO HOME! Plus I had big hair yesterday LOL!
Today has GOT to be better. So here are things I'm thankful for:
1.My dad is still with us.
2. I have a tremendously WONDERFUL boss (even though it feels really weird driving his wife's car).
3. I have money put back for things like the car thanks to my little part time job.
4. My daughter had a great time at the homecoming football game, even though she lost the $20 that I gave her CRIPES! (she went with my very good friend and her daughter, who I am also thankful for)
5. I went to bed last night and slept like a rock but at least I woke up this morning.
6. I'm able to come to this board and read of everyone's experiences, good and bad.
7. I had an email from an online prospect. He lives too far away, but at least he took a gander at me.
Today is going to be a better day!

Hi Sharon,
OMG - what a week you have had. It only takes a few things to stir up the pot when you are already busy. But it is great you are able to list your blessings and see the silver lining in these clouds!!
I hope your weekend goes very well for you - come back and tell us at the end!!
I hear you on the "too far away thing" - but it is what it is and you can find someone close by. I am a great advocate of that.
I love your can-do spirit!
Being able to look at the bright side of things is a trait I always admire in others, and I believe it will carry you far.
I hope the problem with the car is minor and things get better for your dad.
