Okay....someone asked me to tell a little background about me and my DH.....

I met him when I was 16 and he was 18. We were engaged when I was 17 and married when I was 19. Everything was great, until he got the motorcycle April 12 2005. Then he was out 5-6 nights a week on that stupid bike....while I was at home with our son. Not fair in my opinion.....but I digress.....He died on a saturday June 25, 2005. Just a little over a month past our 4th wedding anniversary and just a little under a month until our sons first birthday. Come to find out...when his friends picked up his motorcycle from the tow company, there was a condom under the backseat of the motorcycle (which his friends got rid of....we didn't use condoms, which is obviously how we got our son...lol).....with that information and a couple of other things, I found out he was cheating on me. I honestly have a feeling that if he wouldn't have died that we would not be together right now. and (I know this is gonna sound bad) it's almost easier that he passed away, I had talked about leaving shortly after he got the bike and I was gonna take our son, and he said no (he used Hunter as a power chip....he didn't really want him, but he knew I wouldn't leave without him)...he was never really there for our son. I was

Snow and Janet, I'm sorry I've been remiss about posting here, I gues Alison said it all so well... Anyhow, you both are such amazingly strong women!

I'm sorry for both of your losses, but you're doing an amazing job!

he was out with his friends....doing a wheelie (riding on the back wheel only for those of you that don't know) going between 50-60 mph when an old man pulled out from a stop sign and went across the street that my DH was on. My DH had to slam onb the brakes to avoid hitting the old man, lost control of the bike and went head-first (no helmet) over the handle bars.....we got the autopsy back and the only thing wrong with him besides head injuries was a broken leg and some road rash.....

That was so crazy- thank goodness you weren't on the back of it!! I think it was just a matter of too much testosterone and not enough years in the poor boy - I am sure you go over and over the whole event in your head so many times. If only we could turn back the hands of time.

yea, I only rode on the motorcycle once with my DH....and he went way too fast for me. The problem was he was with his friends and trying to show off.....I bet he looked really cool flying over the handlebars....(sarcastically said) I just don't understand why he wasn't wearing a helmet.....but like they say....everything happens for a reason....
