I'm not ready for this!

Happy Friday all!

We made it through another week!

Tell us what your Thanksgiving plans are. Are you cooking? Going to visit friends/family? If you're travelling are you going by car, bus, plane or train?

And what's the best part of the Thanksgiving meal for you? The food I mean.

It's sunny here today, thank God. And I'm very glad it is Friday!

My brother will be visiting for thanksgiving, so I'm going to be looking for a Tofurkey...he doesn't eat meat. LOL I'll fix a ham, too.

The best part is pumpkin pie with whipped cream...mmm MMMMMMMMM

Hey Tara,

I hope your daughter is better now - how is she doing?

Tell us what your Thanksgiving plans are. Are you cooking? Going to visit friends/family? If you're travelling are you going by car, bus, plane or train?

I am going to my sister's house - it is 5 minutes away by car.

And what's the best part of the Thanksgiving meal for you? The food I mean.

I love the mashed potatoes and the pumpkin pie.

WOW...Can you believe how much it's snowing? My kids are excited... I am not ready either. Thank god I went and got the boys winter coats yesterday.

Tell us what your Thanksgiving plans are. Are you cooking? Going to visit friends/family? If you're travelling are you going by car, bus, plane or train? I am going to my mom's which is a 1/2 min ride...lol I am bringing the dessert...apple tart pie. My Brother and his family will be there. Unfortunately, my sister and her family won't be...

And what's the best part of the Thanksgiving meal for you? The food I mean.

I love the Wing, I get one and my mom gets one...and no one even asks for it because they know better.

thanks. She is feeling better. Fever is gone and she's definitely closer to her normal self again. Still not eating much and hacking alot but they said it's going to take at least a full two weeks to get rid of this. So I kept her out of school again today but Monday she's going to have to go back.

And how are you?

To answer my own question

We're now going to my mom's for Thanksgiving since my sister's husband is having so many health issues in his family. It's about a 15-20 minute drive.

I love the stuffing! I love olives. We always have olives.

And I love the sandwiches with the leftover turkey, olives, stuffing, cranberry and mayo. Ooh boy. I can almost taste one!

I know. I thought I was ready as far as the kids' stuff but then i realized this morning....Connor doesn't have snow boots! I threw them away last year because they were falling apart. So he had to wear his sneaks today. Luckily the snow wasn't quite sticking to the ground when I got him from school!

Felt that mommy guilt, you know what I mean?

Wow, snow already, where do you live? It hasn't snowed here in Chicago yet, but it sure is cold enough.

Tell us what your Thanksgiving plans are. Are you cooking? Going to visit friends/family? If you're travelling are you going by car, bus, plane or train?

I will be driving to my sister's house, which is about 45 minutes away.

And what's the best part of the Thanksgiving meal for you? The food I mean.

I love turkey and stuffing, especially the stuffing. As for the turkey, I love the wings too, and they automatically go on my plate because no one else will eat them.

I hear ya...that mommy guilt gets me too...

I have done that too with the boots and hats and gloves, at least now I keep them from year to year so in a pinch, I have something. I have been famous for RUNNING out and getting them boots in the dead of winter cause I forgot them.

I am glad to hear that Catrice is feeling better!

I am HOPING to hang out at a friends for the whole day. She and I and our little families. We are planning split the meal expense/work and have a spread that lasts all day. Eat, drink, watch football. Let our boys play all day. SOunds great to me. BUT, my folks who were going to be out of town are not going to be here. They'd be DEVASTATED if I just "skipped" being with them on TGiving, because I had other plans with non-family friends.

So, I've a delimma on my hands.

My favorite part? Are you KIDDING? Ok, I guess it's the wonderful gravy to put on mashed potatos and stuffing. But really? I love all of it. Except cranberry sauce. Ewwwww. But, the table wouldn't be the same if it weren't sitting there for me to turn my nose up at...

D and I have no kids this year for Thanksgiving, as they are all going to their other parent’s house. And even though we have relatives in the near area, we have actually purposely, and quite selfishly decided to spend it alone.

We’re going to take the long weekend and go spend it in Vancouver, B.C. We’re taking the train. I know how un-patriotic it appears to go spend an American holiday in Canada, but, this is the only time in our entire history together that we have had 4 days in a row with no children…so we are taking advantage!!!

I very much enjoy the Turkey and the pumpkin pie, with whipped cream!
