Too often these days, people think of teenagers as just self-absorbed and uncaring about others, or even worse...a bunch of hoodlums.

That is so great!!! We need to hear more about acts of kindness from teenagers! That's good for me, the mother of a 10 year old, to hear!

That is such a great story Maggie! Thanks for sharing. :)

It reminds me of those commercials where the kids are showcased as drug addicts, or delinquents in the beginning and then you find out they're actually the ones fighting against all of that. I can't remember who does that commercial but it's pretty cool.

Last weekend I read an article in my neighborhood paper about a graduating class that named their homecoming king and queen. Their king was a young man with cystic fibrosis. He was less than 5 ft. tall and weighed 75lbs...lives at Children's Hospital when he is not in school. His classmates said he's a small guy with a great big heart and full of life... you can't not smile when you're around him. It was such a sweet story, I had tears welling up in my eyes while I was reading it.

You must be really proud of Andi for being a part of this. It just reinforces what a great kid you have!

It so good to hear these things! thanks!
