Just wanted to say I saw Alfie this weekend and LOVED it - it was so funny, and so surprising. A must see for all single women, especially single moms.

Hey west
I happened to be flipping through the channels yesterday and the original Alfie was on Cinemax or one of the movie channels. I watched part of it and it really annoyed me because the main character kept having monologues to the camera and I hated it. Is the new version like that? Just curious.

Yes - he does - but the story is so hilarious and his thoughts make this movie even funnier. And I liked the central theme where all of the women he dated end up too busy and dating other people to go back with him - it gives a girl hope!!

Both movies are based on an original Broadway play which explains the monologues. I really enjoyed this movie. Jude Law played it wonderfully, you wanted to hate him, but couldn't help love him... and even though the story is an old one...the issues are still common today- love, betrayal, fear of committment, unwanted pregnancies...all still around today!
