Anniversaries?

Hi

Do you all give anniversary presents to your relatives, like a sibling? Does it make a difference if you were the maid of honor in the wedding. I did for the first year, but now it's their second anniversary and I'm wondering what to even get them. I mean, they have everything, my bil is loaded. So do I just get a card?

TIA

Hi Tara,

I've never given anniversary gifts unless it was a very special occasion, such as 25th (silver) or 50th (gold) anniversaries.

I don't. Mainly because I forget. I realllly suck at keeping a calendar. I stood UP For my sister (the one who ISN'T getting a divorce) and still don't remember. I called her yesterday, just to chat, and somewhere in the middle of the conversation she said "you can wish me happy anniversary if you want to" Ugh. I felt like a heel.

IF and WHEN I begin to remember better, I will send cards. That's probably all.

The only people I get ANYTHING for in terms of anniversaries are my parents. I normally get them a card. On their 25th, I threw them a party.

Besides that, nope. I don't really even remember. It's THEIR day to celebrate, not MINE!

I will give an anniversary gift to my parents sometimes. But I always give a card to let them know I was thinking of them. I mostly reserve the gifts for Shane because he's my husband and I just feel it's right to do that. I will only give gifts if I can afford to at the time. NO one expects them. It's a nice surprise to get it if they do.

Ah, that makes me feel MUCH better. Good way to say it. Their special day. No one else's really.
