Well- I was supposed to go for dinner with L on friday, but after getting a text that he was running late because he was helping his dad fix a toilet and then another one saying that he just got home at 630, I went home and went on msn.

I love your attitude, Alison!

You're absolutely right- the explanation is unneccessary. I love how you moved on, didn't whine, and have already set up plans for other dates.

Have fun, and obviously we want details!

Moody, with a round of applause for you

I totally agree, Allison! Knowing the "why" in this case just doesn't change anything! I can understand wanting to know the 'why' if it was a long-term relationship coming to an end. That way you CAN get closure and learn from understanding why it didn't work... but in the just-meeting stages?? There really isn't a reason to know the details. It's just not a match, and you move on. Way to go on such a great attitude!

I think approaching it any other way would just make us second-guess anything and everything too much. Especially with OLD when ghosting is so common anyway.

You seemed to have gotten along pretty well with him, so that really does suck. I'm glad you are keeping optimistic and it sounds like you had a much better date anyway. So nanny nanny boo boo on him anyway.

Well, even knowing the "why" in a long term relationship is hard- I mean, with J he didn't want to be a father figure in my son's life, even though he did for 2.5 years.
