Another update, and thanks...

Well, first of all, thanks to you all for your support the other day. To respond, yes, I do have a restraining order against him, and after what happened in court yesterday, we are also very careful and watchful, because he IS very unpredictable and we won't take chances. Z's school knows all of the history and details of our circumstances, and J is not allowed anywhere on the school property EVER. My sister and her husband both work there at Z's school and are always watching over Z, thank God, as is the Principal who is very, very supportive and protective. As for Z, he is an amazingly happy and resilient child. He has been well sheilded from many of the ugly aspects of his father's behavior, because I have refused to let him victimize us. Z has unfortunately seen and heard some hateful things, but he for the most part, I have been able to protect him and talk to him about things so that he can understand (at his level) and deal with it. He is doing so well, physically and emotionally, and I continue to watch him for ANY signs of anxiety and stress, encourage his questions, to express his feelings, etc. I will consider counseling for him/us if I feel it becomes necessary. Right now, I feel that would be an unnecessary intrusion in his life. As for our home life right now, and my marriage, things are very peaceful and happy in our home. Any troubles my husband and I experience are kept between us, and things have been MUCH improved over the past 2 months, and we are very optimistic. My husband is definitely a positive influence for Z, he's a good father and we have a loving close relationship to show our kids. Not to say there aren't problems, there definitely are, but we're overcoming them slowly and surely. I have an update on court yesterday. Everything is okay, but it was an absolute nightmare, what was shown on the tapes from the visitation agency. J actually showed them himself as evidence that he thought would IMPRESS the judge. Well, obviously it backfired. The judge was appalled. He let J have it from all angles. It was very upsetting, but the bottom line is no more visitation at all until after the trial and no more motions will be allowed until the trial. The judge was disgusted with J's behavior. It was embarrassing and sad. This is the short version of what happened, but let's just say I went home and loved my kids to pieces, especially Z. God, I love him so much. I thank God for watching over him and us and helping us through this court process, I know He is intervening and allowing it to work for us!! Thanks for all your support as well.

Well I'm glad to hear that the judge was so compassionate to him LOL! What an idiot to bring in the tapes that just add to your side! I'm sure the judge went home shaking his head! I would love to have been in that courtroom for that!
