I talked to BB last night and there was a revelation. He was concerned about how it went with the kids. We had a great conversation, kidding and laughing.

Remember the "a man and his truck...it's a wonderful thing" T-shirt I sent him? It finally arrived last week (that company is SLOW). BB was saying he hadn't taken it out of the plastic yet and he thought he'd save it...I said "WEAR IT DANGIT!" and we were teasing about "I bought it, I say you wear it" and "well, it belongs to ME now, and I'm saving it"...and then he said something that just blew me away...

I gave him a big t-shirt when I was up there, I wore it one afternoon and then hung it on a hook in his bathroom when I changed clothes. I told him the shirt hanging in the bathroom was for him, so he wouldn't forget.

Last night, after we teased about the shirt I sent last week, he said "the other shirt you got me, it's still hanging in the bathroom. I haven't moved it since you were here. I see it every day and remember."

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh...ok, I'm a sap, I know. But that was so sweet and so romantic. And I truly think he's as "gone" as I am. He's just trying to be really careful because of his situation.

I GOT IT! You all are afraid to encourage me cuz you know I'm such an impulsive nut and you don't want me to get all worked up over this!...ooops, too late...I got all worked up over it last night...and I'm sticking to that.

LOL

I was JUST coming to mention this.

Know what that's gonna do? Make people feel odd that lots and lots of people have read, and no on has commented.

Ahhh, the PRESSURE of it all. ;)

I wonder . . .

Do you think he buries his head in it and breathes your scent in? LOL

I'm still pretty positive something will work out between the two of you.

And I HATE being able to see that people have read posts and not responded.

On some posts, I read them over and over again and think about them before I respond . . . and on others . . . I don't have time to respond right away. I think it will make the poster feel bad, like their post isn't valid.

I'm pretty sure he does, scent is as important to him as it is to me. He doesn't like me to wear perfume because he likes the way I smell. *giggle*

I'm pretty sure something will work out, too. He's working his butt off to try to be ABLE to let something happen. And I see some dedication in his leaving that shirt to remind him what he's working for.

We'll need to just not worry who read our post and be patient. It could be lurkers who don't know us, or friends who just can't respond at the moment. My impatience makes it hard, but I'll manage...

Candi, I didn't even MEAN to "not reply to this" I accidentally clicked on it, when I was trying to read the one about your kids, so I backed right out. Then I forgot it. Of course, that records as a "viewed".

THEN I clicked on this thread again, but it only came up with the message I hadn't "viewed" which was yours about people seeing but not replying. But I didn't realize I hadn't replied to your discussion w/BB.

I didn't realize till I saw MIN's reply and wondered what in the bloody heck she was talking about re: Smelling a TShirt.

Oh, this board stuff is a pain. We're going to have to be really careful about not accidentally missing stuff.

Whoo hoo...got to use the "edit feature"!

I forgot to reply to your original subject!!! Duh.

You know, I am really glad that you got some encouragement. I think you handle this well. If you can not get too crazy for a while and let it lie until you can do something more about it, then it'll be great! Oh, and I am JUST LIKE you on the smell thing. Obsessive really. I don't bother w/much perfume, and I only like J to wear it once in a while. I love the way his neck smells when I cuddle up w/him at night, and I can't DEAL when someone borrows my pillows and "gets their smell" all over them. LOL

Hey Becky, I feel the same way about someone sleeping in my bed while I'm away. Then I don't have Ch's scent on his side of the bed. He doesn't know it, but since I do his wash, I take out his dirty shirts from the basket and wear it to sleep....aaaahhhh, I just love the way he smells.
