Mel,
vent anytime. Thats what this is here for. If it makes you feel any better a lot of people are in the same boat. The DOL mandated a raise for us in October and we have not seen it yet. My company refuses to pay it. Now its the holidays and we could all use the money. I am the only parent in my work place but I know that my coworkers are only buying a few things for their grandkids this year.

Yikes Rebecca- it was stressful just reading that.
I absolutely DO feel like one of thes less fortunate, but from what I read we pretty much ALL are sinking financially.

This is one time when I'm thankful to be a teacher. I'm not flush by any means, any "extra" (and then some) goes to keep paying on my attorney/divorce bill right now. And that hasn't finished adding up yet :(
Yes- the "joys" :)
I conferred with the staff as to what days they wanted off. One is taking two weeks, the other 4 days and myself 6 days. But I'm also going to be working this weekend and staying late next week to ensure everything is tidied up before we're off for the holidays. I won't be asking the staff to do that.
