As some of you already know, I am 29, going through a divorce and I have a 6.5 month old daughter. I don't have much of a social life, and I saw an advertisement for PWP. I am thinking about going to their orientation this month, to see what is involved. Does anyone belong to this group? How do you like it?

I think you should go to the orientation. I looked into joining PWP, but they don't have a chapter near my house. The nearest chapter is about an hour away, and I don't want to travel that far. I did know someone who joined PWP, and she loved it. They had a lot of social activities, and if I remember correctly, she met her BF through PWP. I say give it a try. You have nothing to lose, and you could make some good friends. Good luck.

I too looked into joining PWP...but life happens, and I wasn't able to make it. I may still look one up near me (by the way, I'm in a suburb of Chicago....am I close to you?). Anyway...my dad joined PWP when he and my mom divorced (25 years ago already!) and he met his current wife (married 23 years) there. I *guess* that's a good thing (not for me ;) )

I hear they do alot of social activities and it's a great way of meeting people. They also do activities with the kids....
