APRIL ROLL CALL
101
Wed, 04-16-2008 - 1:47pm

Well, here we are again! Seems like we are getting lots of new faces and I'm having a too many "senior moments" to remember everyone's situations and names these days, lol!

With April being my favorite time of year I thought I'd kick off this roll call and let us get familiar with each other and again welcome the new!

Happy Birthday on your milestone birthday! Women in their 40s are hot.

Forrest Gump is great. I like the theme music for it just evokes such emotion. I think of my current relationship and use Forrest's unwavering love for Jenny as a model.

Depending on where you are in the GR area, you are only 1 to 1 1/2 hrs from here so I guess that I'm not surprised you felt it too.

Screen name (and actual first name optional: runnergirl2006

Approximate area where you live: Indiana

Age/Birthday: Recently turned 40...yikes!

Kids ages: DD 11, DS 7, DD 5

Single for how long? Separated for a year, divorced for 6 months.

Dating currently? Who? Dating MC for 4 months but not exclusively.

Anything pressing on your mind? Current Dating concerns? Not sure if I'm in an actual dating relationship or if this is FWB situation since the sexual encounters outnumber the dates (going out to dinner, etc). We see each other once a week at the most, usually once every 2 weeks or so. Worrying if he's going to find someone else and drop me.

Name something wonderful in your life: Supportive family and friends, anything chocolate especially dark chocolate and truffles :-)

And something you're looking forward to: Running a half-marathon next month

Favorite movie, favorite music, favorite season: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Mona Lisa Smile; rock, alternative, and some pop (Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Guns N' Roses, Maroon 5, Hilary Duff, Aly and AJ); fall

Screen name (and actual first name optional) QueenBun

Approximate area where you live AZ

Age/Birthday 47, late Dec

Kids ages D4, S16, and S19

Single for how long? 4 years, filed right after my daughter was born

Dating currently? Who? Yes, M and I are going on 2 years now

Anything pressing on your mind? Current Dating concerns? M got laid off in Jan and is having a hard time finding a new position with the slow economy and all.It is starting to wear on him, therefore it is effecting us, too. I'm trying to be supportive, but there's only so much I can really say or do. Hopefully this last job prospect will pan out.

Name something wonderful in your life- My S19 is home for 3 weeks

And something you're looking forward to- My niece's wedding in which D4 will be the flower girl. I am sewing lace from my wedding dress on to her dress. The lace is nearly identical to the lace on my niece's dress.

Favorite movie, favorite music, favorite season: Don't really have a favorite movie, I like jazz and opera best, and in the desert my favorite season has to be Spring. The cactus blooms, it is really very pretty.

And man, there are a lot of posts to get through.
