Are you ready for Halloween?
| Tue, 10-30-2007 - 1:35pm |
Hi to all:
Are you all ready for Halloween tomorrow?
1) What kind of candy are you giving out?
2) Are you dressing up? If so, as what?
3) Do you have an adult party to go to?
4) What costumes are your kids wearing?
5) What decorations do you have outside?
This should be fun!!
We are giving out peanut safe candy- tootsie roll, sweet tarts, pops
I am not dressing up - although I almost bought a huge black witch's hat complete with green wig at Walmart - LOL!!
No adult part to go to here.
DS is going to be a ghost
We have a jackolantern shaped light outside.
Can't wait to hear from everyone else!! This means of course that they holidays have begun. UH OH!! :-)

Are you all ready for Halloween tomorrow?
1) What kind of candy are you giving out? Not sure yet, but it will be some good kind. I usually don't have a lot of ghouls & goblins.
2) Are you dressing up? If so, as what? Not dressing up
3) Do you have an adult party to go to? Nope
4) What costumes are your kids wearing? She is just wearing a witches hat. That's all she wanted to do this year.
5) What decorations do you have outside? Nada
I'm ranking up there with Pacific this year...can't seem to get it together. Once I get my stuff to give out, hopefully I'll be a little more enthusiastic. I like seeing the little ones on Halloween.
1) What kind of candy are you giving out?
We will be mostly eating Snickers, we rarely get Trick-or-Treater's in our neighborhood.
2) Are you dressing up? If so, as what?
I have a witch hat with scraggly hair attached that I'll wear while takking my daughter the the townhomes across the road for a quickk Trick or Treat experience.
3) Do you have an adult party to go to?
Sadly, no. I had illusions of having a party at my house, but just too much other stuff going on right now.
4) What costumes are your kids wearing?
Only my daughter has plans to dress up, she'll be a ballerina princess.
5) What decorations do you have outside?
We'll have 2 real Jack-o-Lanterns if my sons follow through and carve them tomorrow. It's too hot here still to do them any earlier, they either rot or get eaten by javelinas.
QueenBun, who has about half her holiday shopping already done-for once!
Bah Hum-Boo!!!
I do like Halloween, but there are some things about it that just irks me!
For one thing- how much costumes cost! And my kids don't really care so much what they wear (thankfully!) but they aren't ones who might want to play dress-up and get more mileage out of a costume than for this ONE day. So I don't like spending a ton of money on a costume that they won't touch again.
Another thing that is making me Bah-Hum-Boo is that it's a school night!!! I wish they could

You look beautiful. I wish you had a picture of that jello brain - that sounds to be like quite a good spooker!!
And yes - I agree with the school night thing. Imagine the poor teachers when the kids come in tomorrow from their candy fest from tonight!
I do have a photo of the jello brain from 2004... it was quite a screamer that year! lol

OMG Shrimps - how cool that you have a picture of that!!! Like wow - no wonder they scream. I have never seen anything like it.
What kind of jello/mix do you pour in that thing? My culinary side has a curiosity.
You are such a scream for a mom!! And to have a picture of it, too!! Yeah!!
I've been insanely busy this week, but here goes:
No, it's 10:50 on October 31, and I'm not ready for Halloween!

Wow - carved jackolanterns!! That is a great project (didn't you say MrFunnyGuy did that?) and impressive with the amount of time it takes. And yes you are right that we are on a holiday craziness until New Years. Does your work get busier?
No worries about the peanut thing here - he came back in with round 1 of candy and I did what I always do - replace the chocolate and nut stuff with our stuff. I put all of the chocolate and nut stuff outside. And just about that time DS and his friends came to our house on their way out for the second round. And they said WOW! Your mom has the BEST candy ever - I guess they all love chocolate. And DS was giggling at that because he know what I did but liked that.
