Well, I think he deserves a super short "crew" cut next time you take him to the groomers!

I was in Colorado for the one and only car accident I've had while driving. Xmas 2005 on my way with my 3 kids for our yearly traditional ski trip at Telluride I hit ice on the road at Dolores CO. It was snowing so the ice was covered with a thin layer of snow. I was only going about 25mph because it was snowing so hard but I went into a skid that if I steered into the skid like one is supposed to I'd have wound up in the Dolores River. So I turned hard to the left, reversed my spin, said "I'm Sorry" to my sons and crashed into the rock face of the cut through the mountain.D3 (then not quite 2) slept through it all. I couldn't have been going more than 10mph when we hit, but we bounced off, hit again and stopped in some brush. Since my car is AWD I just tried driving out of the ditch and carefully got back on the road. It was late, no one on the road, no gas station open between Dolores and Telluride, and cars and trucks stuck in the ditch all the way there. As we pull into Telluride, there were some folks towing a truck out of the ditch and they all just stared at my car as we drove by. My S16 (then 14) was freaking out the whole way saying we should stop and check the damage. When we did, he flew out of the car, then he just started laughing his butt off. I get out and look. The front bumper was falling off, right headlight smashed, rear quarter panel smashed, big scrapes down the sides, and an aspen sapling stuck in the grill sticking out a good 4 ft. While in Telluride I got the bumper wired on so I could make the trip home. My car was in the shop 6 weeks, but the insurance covered most of the repairs and thankfully, I and my kids were perfectly fine.
QueenBun who grew up in OH and knows how to drive in the snow- most of the time

I'm surprised you made it to your destination! I'm sure the aspen sticking out of your grill was quite a sight. I had to giggle when I got to that part.
