Well, just getting caught up, you all are very busy posters. Sorry that things are going south for some of you with the latest prospects and thrilled for those (West) who are still having a good time and a positive outlook for the possibility of the future.
Now that I've recovered from finals and getting ready for my trip next week for my niece's wedding I am catching up. Things are good with M, he's still looking for a job, but he is coming with me to OH for the wedding. Hope it isn't overwhelming for him. I'll attach some photos of D4's dress. I finished adding the lace from my wedding dress and moved over the back buttons to avoid major alterations. It fits her well now.

Beautiful!!!! If I ever get remarried again, may I borrow her for flower girl?? ;-)

Of course- by the time I get remarried again... she'll probably be waaaay too old to be flower girl! LOL

Yes, D4 is the flower girl, her second cousin (my sis's grandson) is the ring bearer. I was on the fence about getting rid of my wedding dress or keeping it for D4, but when I saw my niece's dress and realized the lace matched mine I offered to add the lace to this dress. My niece had an idea in mind but there simply was not a dress that looked like that. She is thrilled with the outcome. My fingers are sore, I did it by hand and had to trim the lace to an appropriate size for her dress. Now maybe I can donate what remains of my dress to the opera company's costume department. They can reuse the lace and buttons and probably the dress itself as it is very Victorian.

How is it that you are always SO funny, Shrimps?? I read this and laughed so hard out loud. OMG. This board is a life saver for me! You all have no idea.

Anyway, QB - so happy to see you back and the pic of your princess is just wonderful. I exclaimed, "this is what life and our lives especially, are all about" BRAVO - she is a real beauty - that dress is just exquisite!

When my son was born my mom had her wedding dress made into a christening gown for his baptism. It was beautiful and very sentimental. So that's a thought for you too if you don't want to get rid of it totally. Your daughter is gorgeous and that dress is amazing. Good Job with that lace!
