the best thing about the bike crash

Okay - I just posted about my stupid bike crash in the 2nd date thread. I am okay and my bike is okay - no big deal except to lose a few hours of riding time this weekend.
Anyway, I was just thinking - I had the best example of a great husband because of that crash.
My friend I was riding with always amazes me. She is young and pretty and has 4 kids - looks so put together - has time to swim and bike and run and is in amazing shape. I always tell her she makes it look easy. Her kids are doing great - the eldest three range from 10 to 7 and are all involved in activities in which they excel. The 2nd eldest just competed in a swim meet last weekend and she melted me because she is the sweetest little girl - very happy.
Anyway, my friend called her husband to come and get us. She lives on my street and so that was lucky for me. When he pulled up they were putting my bike in the back of his truck and I said oh no - I hope it doesn't get your truck dirty. He said, don't be silly, we have 4 kids and their dirt is going to get your bike dirty.
He never once said anything judgmental like you all have to be more careful. He just dropped me off at my house, gave her a kiss goodbye to keep riding because she was okay and he went back to feed their 4 kids their breakfast. I had commented to him that I really enjoyed how they make everything look so easy - and he said his wife gets all the credit because he works super long hours.
He is just so nice and positive!!
