I understand the problem of dating in a small area...one of the many reasons I left RI and moved back home after I got divorced. Seemed like EVERYONE knew or knew of my ex!
Thank goodness for on line. I know a lot of people think it stinks, but it's the only way I can meet people. CL works for you? Where I am, outside NYC, it is creepy.
As for the Brit...maybe he is traveling. In my experience with Brits, they were much slower daters than I was used to.
Breakfast date? You gotta be kidding. Does he think it's a meeting or a date?
Making a date with someone you aren't all that excited about is tedious. I can usually find an excuse NOT to meet when I am not excited, but if I am, I will sell the kids and give away the dog to get there LOL.

LMBO!
Rebecca that is wonderful news about your foot!
I'd feel the same way about a breakfast date! I think you are amazing the way you are happy to meet people you aren't that keen on. I suppose you don't really know until you meet them, but I don't know if I could be bothered.

Glad youre healing and ready to go out again. Sorry about Brit. I had one who was supposedly very interested ghost too. It was odd but I have see it all on OLD that now it doesnt even phase me. When I last looked at match.com the ghost was still there. Hmmmm. I wonder why. Maybe its because he is too chicken to meet anyone.
