The Boys Are Back in Town...

ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh the boys are back in towowowown....

so, not really, that song's just running though my head. Now it's running through your's. You're welcome!
School has started for me, and so far, so good!
The big move is taking place, slowly but surely. The phone and DSL get turned on on Wednesday, and we can officially move in anytime, but we don't have time until this week. I've been hauling things over a little at a time, luckily pretty much everything is still packed, which is making it easier.
Dating. Hmmm.
Men. What are they, again, exactly? Oh, that's right, those sometimes funny, often irritating, sometimes smelly creatures that happen to coexist on this planet with us. I see some at work daily. Those particular specimens are off-limits, but some of them are fun to look at, and some of them are great friends and sounding boards.
Actually, I happen to have a crush. Yes, me. He may well be off limits, so I haven't told you about him, as I've been enjoying the crush-glow... but here goes....
He's one of my closest girlfriend's ex-husband, and before you get all weirded out by that, let me tell you, she isn't. She's remarried, and has said (before I was crushing on him- before I even met him, actually) that we should meet, because she thought we'd be a compatible pair. Turns out, he's very nice, makes me laugh, a good father, and in my opinion a great person- from what I know so far. Just wasn't right for her, nor her for him.
We haven't had a date or anything, in fact, I doubt he knows I'm interested. She only does because I spilled the beans in a moment of weakness. So, nothing major has transpired between us, except that every time I see him, it is either a company thing (I went to his company picnic as my friend's guest- she works with her exhusband) or a family thing, and each time, he's sought me out, made me laugh, and I've enjoyed his company very much.
So, I guess even if nothing comes of it- which at this point, nothing probably will, as I'm tres busy with work, school, kids, moving, and getting the kids ready for school next week- I don't have time this decade to think seriously about men- much less actually plan a real live date! But I am enjoying the thought of possibly maybe someday going on one, and he's the only guy I've met in the recent past who made me laugh, was attractive, and as Snow would say, made me feel "sparklies"... ah, crushing is fun, isn't it?

Moody- who's enjoying this a lot
