Sounds like a nice night out and a good reconnection. All you can do now is wait and see what happens. If he's sincere, then he will follow through with his actions to make you feel important in his life.

I totally believe that things happen for a reason. And that people come into your life for a moment, a season or a lifetime! Sounds to me that irregardless to what happens going forward, that a lesson on the importance of communication was learned by both sides. It's been my experience that if you look for 'perfection' in every person, you will generally be let down. Give the guy a shot! If he is as sorry as he seems about letting you go, he will step up and make sure it doesn't happen again! Besides, isn't your self-imposed abstinence thingy up soon?? Take it one day at a time and see where it goes.
