I'm glad to hear that you are giving this guy a chance, and that he seems nice. I hope at least a couple of the pregnant ladies will hold off so you can go on the date.

Keep us posted, I love your stories!

He does sound nice, but I honestly can't get past his incorrect usage of words.

LOL Liz- I'm a grammar snob too... and I guess the grammar part is what he missed with the "some college". ;-)

(Okay, so I can be an academic snob too- which is why it's good that Hiker has more education than I do... and can use proper grammar and spelling- because I'm just anal about stuff like that)

But anyway- R... I hope you have a nice time!

I immediately noticed that too, and as an English major, it does drive me batty. But what's worse is with the advent of texting and IM, everyone now thinks abbreviations are all right. THIS is what truly gets me angry.

For instance, UR instead of you're or your. How hard is it to type two or three more letters? Grrrr. What I want to say to them, is

1f u c@n r34d th1s, u r34lly n33d 2 g3t @ l1f3!!

He sounds nice. I would overlook the grammar - but only because I have known some very successful men who just can't spell - they let their secretaries do that!

The only concern for me is the geography - but are his kids in your town?

An umpire sounds really cool. He sounds like a nice person.

A baseball cap usually equals bald - just so you can be prepared. But I have liked a few bald men so that would not bother me.

Keep us posted!! I think at the very least you will have a lovely evening with him.
