That sounds like prudent advice and especially for where you live. And the added benefit of being off the road during those hours is that you avoid the drinker types. I know they are cracking down on drinking and driving but we always read about such incidents in the news every week. That must have been scary with the near-break-in and your DD!!
I have a fun update..... We are adding a campfire to our backyard!! I got a great deal on an outdoor gas fire pit ring and DS and I are going to build the stone/brick wall around it ourselves. So when it is installed we can roast marshmallows and sit and chat. DS is thrilled! And that will be good cheap fun.
It is one of those sneaky "keep busy so you can talk" type of activities. I find that doing something simple like that gets us talking. Or rather, gets HIM talking and telling me about his day.
I saw a good idea for marshmallow sticks - was at a big campfire at my last race - and they used thin dowel rods - so I was thinking I could probably find those at Home Depot. It is not like we can use palm fronds for that!!
The fire is really the thing I love most about camping. We won't have to worry about packing, carrying stuff, hauling water, handwashing pots, cleaning or any of that jazz or even bears or skunks for that matter. Just get the hot chocolate, the marshmallows and the beauty of the fire in our backyard.
Funny you should mention that! I have had that planned for my new home next year. My XF had that and it was sooo awesome. We loved it and I knew that no matter what, I wanted the same thing.

Exactly!: It has nothing to do about a guy doing better then a woman. It's about the safety.
What a fabulous idea!

Ok, so we've been emailing back and forth all day- he's going to see if I'm still up when he gets home from work... which I'm planning on being :)
