Ok I have really 'disliked' my job for quite a while now so this year I have committed to making a change.

I also say go with what you love--you should love your work, it is what occupies most of your time!!

It's so true April.....I know only because I used to LOVE what I did for 12 yrs and then went to almost despising what I do now... I am hoping to get back to having a job I can be proud of that works for my life now as a single Mom.

Good luck with your upcoming decisions..

it sounds like you have some very promising prospects! For me, I need my work to be something I feel good about. Something that gives me esteem and fits me as a person. I always look at the companies reputation, the management, the employees. Nothing makes work better for me that to feel like I "fit" and belong" and get along well (that also helps when it comes to climbing the ladder and networking for future positions.)

Do what you love...excellent advice! Go with what you heart tells you..and then throw in some logic to consider like the potential co-workers, the potential for growth, and the money.

Keep us posted on the interview outcomes!

They actually did that on my playgroup board (July '04). They had several votes about what city to go to, what hotel to stay at, etc etc. and then they all met up (husbands and families included) and spent a weekend doing activities and just hanging out. From what I remember of the posts (I couldn't go, x and I were not in the best place relationship wise and didn't have much money) everyone had a blast and it was a great success. Just some food for thought.
