Chatted up Norwegian HOTTIE

OMG. I am so stupid sometimes. But this was a pickle and I am not sure what I should have done to give him my number or email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kicking myself!!

Okay - so this morning I get up and run with the dogs and then go out on the bike. My new riding group ran into me and insisted I ride with them -which is great!! They are very nice.

Then I come back to the house and get DS up and we shower and look good and go out of the house for bagels with the dogs.

We are sitting with the two dogs at a table and there is this hot guy there - my age - OMG like what are the chances of that, right? LOL!! Anyway, he is by himself and totally disconnected from the world with his newspaper and iPod. So DS and I proceed to have breakfast and feed the dogs their bagels. It is kind of hot outside and so we are all the only ones there and at side-by-side tables.

DS goes back in to fill up his drink and at the same time the Norwegian hottie goes to his bike to grab a magazine out of the bags - it was parked next to our table!! And it was a neat touring bike with saddle bags so I couldn't resist asking him about it. He says OH - SORRY when he sees me and he takes off his iPod like he is just noticing me now - LOL!! (I did look nice with hair and makeup and skirt) and he starts telling me about his bike - he commutes to work, riding 26 miles per day. And we get into this great chat about biking and when he finds out I ride, too, he likes that a lot and he tells me the number of miles he rides a year.

BUT then DS comes back to the table. And he didn't bat an eye at that - but it is not like we can start changing phone numbers. And DS wants to go home to play with his friends and there is this tension because Norwegian Hottie and I don't want to leave we want to keep talking. But I have to go. And it was awkward because DS was there. I find out that the NH works as a software developer on one of the big cruise lines here.

I am thinking I should have exchanged email addresses with him because he was asking about the bike groups we have and I could have said I will send you the link when I get home - but I was flabbergasted.

We did both say we hope we will see each other again on our bikes.

I am such a BOOOOOOOOOOF!!

On a bright note - there were 2 single guys in our swim yesterday and one of them wants to ride along the beach and we did exchange numbers. So I am not totally ignorant - but he was not the same as the hottie!!

LOL! As long as you can understand what he's saying!!

I lived in DC for a short period of time, and I actually met a Norwegian Hottie. He was so stinking cute, and he'd talk and talk with an excited smile on his face and I would just smile and nod. I couldn't understand a single word coming out of his mouth lol. Along with that when we kissed we'd both go left, bump noses type of deal. There was no meshing what so ever lol. So that ended quickly. I always laugh thinking about that though how I'd just sit there and smile with this gazed look over my eyes totally lost lol.

Although I am a total dork when it comes to meeting men, if I were you I'd go have bagels again next Sat. It can be the summer thing you do with son and dogs. If Norwegian hottie has any sense, he'll ride by just to see if you are there. Afterall, how could he pass up such a great opportunity?!!!

OMG - that is HILARIOUS about your business cards - I mean that totally makes sense for what you do - but that is not something you would want to give out to a dating prospect!!

Thanks and I hope so - the only thing is that the only riding he does is commuting to work...or maybe the coffee shop - so eyes will be open for the latter!
