okay.. so i spent most of the morning filling out the VERY long questionaire for eHarmony... what impressed me was the personality report... i think it was right on... cool... and i feel like i learned so much about myself.. i also like how it explained the negative reactions that people can have towards me.. nothing is right or wrong but it helped me to understand why ...
So... if it can describe me so well.. maybe it can describe a potential match and actually work at matching people up... but nothing beats good old fashion chemistry.. and ya can't write that in a report.. can you?
maybe by the end of this weekend, i'll sign up for membership.... wish me luck.

Okay... i signed up for three months... we'll see how this goes...
naturally, i had to go in and change the age setting... hehehehe.. I'm 35 and the recommendation was 32 - 47... so i changed it to go as low as 28.....lol...
now, i wait.... ha ha... and i'm not very good at the waiting thing...

I'm not very good at the waiting thing either!
Only one match.... what?
This is a 37 yr old.... didn't have a picture.. so i sent a request for a photo..
Yeah, I had a few of those as well- I think a lot of guys are signed up free because you can review your matches for free- but you can't see the pics unless you're a paying member...
And yes, I've only had one response.
You know I can see that. I changed my age range to 35-45 (I am 38)but the bulk of the matches that I have closed are over that age range. Only a small percentage of my matches are in their 30's. Maybe the men are matched younger or there are just more in the 40/50 age range. BTW: the matches are getting better but less frequent. I rate all the ones too old as low interest, so maybe they are getting the hint.
One guy I reached out to about a month ago just responded this weekend with a wink. I am thinking it is because it was a free weekend and perhaps he is non-paying. I am thinking about closing because that is just a waste of time.
I agree but I am hoping they have picked up on the fact that I rate low anyone over 45. LOL!! For me, once you near 10 years I don't feel very compatible especially having a young son. Occasionally when I rate someone a survey will pop up that gets a bit more specific about the rating. I have only seen it a handful of times but I will give them all the info they need to get me the right matches.
I think I must be in an area with a rich pool of candidates. Richmond is very settled and most people after a certain age feel silly trying to meet someone in a bar. I know I do.
Yeah- I feel within five years is a much better match for me- and NOT five years younger!
They do let you choose soem of those options, but they DONT have AGE? Wtf?
