I have a friend(male) at work that i would say i'm moderately close with, however we've never seen each other outside of work. A few days ago we discussed getting together because his schedule had changed and we wouldnt see much of each other anymore, keep in mind we've been flirting a lot lately. He called me today and asked me to the movies Friday night and has made plans to pick me up at my house. Is this a date??Do I act like I'm on a date or out with a friend??

I would consider that a date!! And I would treat it like that - but in a casual manner.

How fun that he called and asked you out - I am assuming that you like him since you say you are flirting. Tell us more!!

Just play it cool. See how he treats it. When he first asked me, I probably would have said something like......."is this a date? or a friend's thing?" If it was so vague, I would have had to ask.

In general, it's not a good sign if you don't know up front if it's a date or not. I had one of these situations in the past. It was awkward. It didn't turn into a date and we never saw each other again outside of our normal routine.

I hope your movie thing turns out better.
