hmmm... it's possible that all he wanted was sexy... and what a jerk of him for canceling on you AFTER you found a babysitter...
however, i do have another possiblity.. maybe he didn't have any money and that's why he didn't like the going out plans. I know it's a stretch, and most people will say, you don't need a guy who canceled on you like that... however, i have heard it said (from guys) that if they don't have money, they don't want to admit it and therefore prefer to stay in without giving you a good explanation. But you know this guy and you should go with your gut. If it's telling you this guy isn't sincere than NEXT. Sorry that it hurts right now.
welcome to the board. i hope you stick around... dating as a single mom is different but not impossible!
Rebecca and I are EXTREMELY similiar on who we date and sometimes our reason for dumping. Although, I jumped to her side to dump him, I also agree with her that it could have been a something else simple. My thought is this: Why didn't he offer to go to HIS place, cook together and LOTS of cuddle time?
I view that relationships are self-selecting which means that if it does not work out then there is a good reason. So if the guy cannot handle you child last minute schedule changes then he is not the one for you. Or if he is not flexible enough to do something besides that ONE PLAN then he is not the one for you.
I have had similar experiences where I REALLY liked the woman but for whatever reason she did not like what I did/who I am/or whatever...
It sucks but it works out in the long run.

Walk. Fast.
As a mother, your 1st priority is to your child.

When I first read this, I thought, "Sheesh, what a self-focussed, immature JERK!"
