December birthdays and laughter lines

I want to join in the December Birthday Club!! I am a year behind though - I will be 39 this December, but we can celebrate together anyway.

Do you have any special plans for turning 40? I am starting to think about a special holiday, maybe with my best friend, or maybe with SO and the kids. Or perhaps all of us together :o) I mentioned the other day to SO that I may treat myself to a botox treatment for my 40th - darn those "laughter lines" (a.k.a. wrinkles). He looked at me like I had lost the plot completely LOL - I felt flattered!

Of course, this message is not only for my fellow December Birthday ladies - does anyone else have any tricks for feeling youthful and celebrating getting older and wiser? Or did anyone do anything special to celebrate a special birthday?

Oops.. I didn't realize we REALLY did have so many actual December birthdays here! I thought it was all just a metaphor!

Okay, so my birthday is in January. That could mean I'm just a month behind you guys... or I'm nearly a WHOLE YEAR AHEAD of you guys in the aging! lol (Except I'm really wildly ahead of you since 40 was 2 yrs ago already) At least you will know you'll never catch up to me! ;-)

I'll be 46 in September. When I turned 40, I didn't make a big deal of it(Let's see when I turn 50). I'm grateful that I'm aging well. I eat decently(have a bad sweet tooth-though)and don't smoke or drink.

I count my blessings every day and am grateful to be a young grandmother who gets to really play with the grandbabies.
